Solutions & Sustainability Programs

We empower women & girls across Liberia.

Digital Skills for Change

We train women and girls in Basic Computer, Microsoft Office Suite, Graphic Design, Digital Marketing, QuickBooks and other tech-related training skills. Our goal is to train 1,500 more women and girls by 2030.

Mentorship & Internship

We connect graduates to internship, job placement, and scholarship opportunities through our growing partner network. Our goal is to support 80% of graduates to secure employment or self-employment within 3–6 months.

Entrepreneurship & IT Support

We provide Advanced Excel, QuickBooks Pro, IT Maintenance for local organizations, schools, and small businesses. Our goal is to build capacity and generate income for our sustainability.

Coding for Girls & Bootcamp

We empower young girls with practical skills in coding, digital content creation, website design and development. Our goal is to reach at least 1,000 girls by the year 2028.

Digi-Awareness

We conduct digital safety workshops, career guidance, & community campaigns to promote safe, inclusive tech spaces for women & girls. Our goal is to host 100 workshops and reach 25,000 individuals by 2030.

What Challenges Do We Face?

  • Digital Illiteracy & Gender Gap: A majority of Liberian women and girls lack access to basic digital training, limiting job opportunities and access to information.
  • Limited Access to Technology: Most communities in rural areas have no computers or internet access for learning.
  • Underrepresentation of Women in Tech Careers: Very few women are represented in Liberia’s growing tech space due to limited education and mentorship opportunities.
  • Lack of Consistent Funding & Resources: As a nonprofit, GITL often struggles with securing operational funding and tech tools needed to scale.
