Hi, I enrolled in Microsoft Office Suite classes at Girls in Technology Liberia (GITL), where I learned essential skills in Microsoft Office and Graphic Design. Starting with no prior experience, I was thrilled to earn my certifications, which have made a big difference in my daily life. My diligence paid off when I won the GITL Ambassador competition, which led to a six-month internship with GITL and then another at Ecobank Liberia. I’m grateful for GITL’s support, and I believe the EJS Center and other partners could further help by connecting GITL trainees with internships for real-world experience.

Hello, I took QuickBooks classes at Girls in Technology Liberia (GITL) twice a week. I’d always wanted QuickBooks certification, but it was too costly, so I was thrilled to get it for free through GITL after finding a link on Facebook. By January 2023, I’d earned my certification, and the step-by-step training helped me master QuickBooks and Excel. Just two months later, I secured a job in the NGO sector, where my supervisor now relies on me for QuickBooks expertise. GITL's training made a lasting impact on my career and professional confidence.

The enrollment process was easy, and I was thrilled to find a place for both learning and mentorship. In December 2022, I earned my certification, which completely transformed my life. Thanks to a recommendation from GITL’s CEO, I now teach Microsoft Office to students of all ages, a role I’d never imagined. I suggest that trainees have personal computers for practice, as those without them currently rely on GITL’s resources.
