GITL Awarded $10,000 Grant to Empower Women & Girls

Girls In Technology Liberia (GITL) is thrilled to announce that it has been selected as one of the recipients of the Liberia Support Program 2025 Grant, generously funded by the Mastercard Foundation and implemented through the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Presidential Center for Women and Development (EJS Center).

The awarded $10,000 USD grant will support GITL in conducting a Free 3-Month Graphic Design and Digital Content Creation Training, set to begin on August 18, 2025. The program is exclusively for young women and girls across Liberia who are eager to build creative digital skills and explore careers in the growing digital media and tech industries.

✨ What the Training Covers:

This intensive and hands-on training will cover:

  • Canva Pro Design Techniques
  • Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator Essentials
  • CapCut and Adobe Premiere Rush Video Editing
  • Social Media Content Strategy
  • Branding & Visual Identity Creation
  • Portfolio Development & Mock Projects

Participants will graduate with in-demand design skills, a professional portfolio, and the confidence to either seek employment, start freelance careers, or build their own brands online.
